PWR was founded in 2002 by the following group of influential of women. They all remain involved in PWR by providing their support and guidance on the Advisory Council.
Janine Furia is a Vice President of Business Banking at PNC Bank and works with small to medium sized businesses in the greater Philadelphia market. As a business banker, Janine helps businesses identify the right banking solution to help their business grow and prosper by providing access to credit, treasury management, merchant services and various online cash flow solutions. Janine's experience as a small business owner of a retail clothing store allows her to leverage her experience and knowledge to her clients and prospects. Janine also has over 20 years banking experience including commercial credit analysis at Wells Fargo Bank and in investment Banking with PMG Capital Inc. working with medical, retail and IT software companies worldwide
Nicole D. Galli
In 2015, Nicole D. Galli founded, and is managing partner, of the Law Offices of N.D. Galli LLC in Philadelphia, after having spent over two decades in two AmLaw 100 firms, an intellectual property boutique firm, and a full-service regional firm. She focuses her practice on commercial litigation, including all forms of intellectual property (IP) litigation, as well as strategic legal risk management and IP counseling. In addition to serving as Chair of the Advisory Board of PWR, Nicole recently served as a member of the Strategic Planning Committee of NextMove Dance, a dance presenting organization on whose board she served for ten years. Ms. Galli also recently served as a member of the American Heart Association's 2015 Go Red for Women Executive Leadership Team in Philadelphia. A member of the Forum of Executive Women, Ms. Galli serves on the Forum Award for Emerging Women Leaders and Program Committees. Ms. Galli is also a member of the American Bar Association, where she is the CLE Officer of the Section of Intellectual Property Law and the Section’s Liaison to the Licensing Executives Society. Other memberships include the Philadelphia Bar Association and Justinian Society.
Susan Baren-Pearson is the former Associate Marketing Director for America's Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals for IBM, and has over 12 years of private sector and non-profit experience in marketing communications and publishing. Susan has built her successful marketing career through building alliances among diverse constituencies and program/business development. In addition to PWR, Susan has served several non-profit entities, and is both an advisory and founding member of the Young Women’s Initiative and previously a Campaign co-chair for Women’s Way.
